I wanna be an individual just like her

Isn't it funny that some people want to be their own person yet they conform to a certain group.  I always thought it was funny to see a group a goth kids who refused to conform to society, yet they were part of a group.  There's pretty much a group for everything so unless you are from Mars you're more than likely going to be associated with somone!  When I was in high school, the rebellious thing for us to do was to get our tongues pierced.  I have to admit that at 15, not wanting to be like everyone else, I went with a group of friends to get my tongue pierced.  Ironic right??  I had it for a year and when literally everyone of my friends had it done, I took it out.  Seemed pointless to have if it was the norm.  I won't say that I was always trying to be different from everyone.  I had just got to a new high school so I wanted to fit it.  But I also wanted to stand apart from the "good kids" at school.  Unfortunately, with the "good kids" being the minority, I ended up being part of a large group of kids who all wanted to stand apart from the norm.  Too bad we became the norm.  Tragic lol......
