Ok, I'm gonna take it way back to the Ghost in the Shell movie we watched. Should've kept up with my blogging (oops). I think a lot of times we're all just going through the motions like a cyborg. We're probably not too far off from the government placing chips in our brains anyways. We talked about the idea of a neutral gender and I think we see more and more of that now a days. There were a few of my classmates who spoke about how they don't try to fit into any certain gender identity; they're just them. Which I think is great, we shouldn't try to mold ourselves into something we're not just because society thinks that's what we should do. In a world that preaches gender equality we should expect that the lines between gender identity will be blurred as well.
We also talked about the idea that using tools as an extension of our bodies made us cyborgs. That's kind of a weird idea but it makes sense I guess. We've become super lazy as a society because of it though. Think about everything you use to assist you with something daily. Your phone, car, remote, computer, anything really. What if everything electronic suddenly stopped working? I wonder what we'd do as a society. I assume life as we know it would be at a stand still lol.
